Sex And The City inspired sketch!

This is another old sketch I have found in a draw that I did a few years ago, and you can definitely see the difference between water colour pencils and normal colour crayon pencils (which were used here). I took inspiration from watching Sex and the City and their big, elaborate high fashion outfits.

Victoria's Secret 2011 Show.

This is my oldest sketch I did two years ago, whilst watching the 2011 Victoria's secret show Superhero segment with Kanye West performing Stronger. This is the first sketch I did which got me into drawing, and contouring the body using colour!! Apologises for the huge crease down the middle, I found it folded up in a draw!!

Pencil/Pen sketch.

This isnt my usual way of sketching. However, I tried to push myself out of my, small, pretty, elegant, comfort zone and do a big, angular design.
I didnt want to add colour in the end incase it ruined it as you cant get one block colour using watercolours and its like primary school felt tips how it gets darker in certain places. I wanted to focus on the detail of the face, figure, and movement of the fabric. I really enjoyed doing this so hopefully I'll end up doing more big sketches like this in the future.

Pencil Sketch.

Taken from Glamours July 2012 edition.
I didn't want to fill this in colour as I didn't want to take away the deatils of the drape in the fabric and her face. Nor did I want to end up adding too much colour and ruining it with big black eyes or clown lips.
I wanted to focus getting the angles of the bent arm right and the movement of the fabric. Also the face, which is a big weakness of mine when drawing!! I always will try and avoid it.
I know its very faint, it didn't look it on the photo I took, so you might want to tilt your screen back ever so slightly.

'Summer luvin' and 'Little bitty pretty one' by Hayden Williams.

I have loved doing Hayden Williams drawings. He is my main inspiration. He has such good imagination on hair, poses, colours and the actual garments! I love them!

"A woman of many colours" By Sophie Elizabeth

This is my own design. A very summery dress. A cream, deep V - neck bodice with heavily pleated stripy skirt with concealed pockets!
