Flamenco inspired bridal collection!

A

This weeks brief was 30 designs on a Culture. I chose to do 15 on Flamenco dancers (Spanish) and 15 on Africa, however i'm really unhappy with those designs so I dont think ill be putting them up!
I chose to do Flamenco as 'fishtail/mermaid' dresses are very trend at the moment, especially in bridal and I absolutely LOVE them!!!

A - This dress is a laser cut neckline, one sleeved floor length gown. With a white bodice, gradually going into a red skirt, revealing black netting underneath.
B - This is a sleeved dress with knee length tassels from each sleeve. Also with subtle tiering down the skirt.
C - I love this. A fitted sleeved dress with a mesh fishtail skirt and placements of lace on the mesh and up the bodice 'connecting it'. A long train too.
D - A very thin strappy, backless dress with a fitted bodice and tiered skirt in a red and dark red stiff (to hold the ruffles) fabric.
E - Halter neck dress, with a fitted bodice and very full skirt made up of panels that are slightly frayed, squares of fabric.

Pop Art Collection

Pop Art Collection -
I normally try and relate my collections back to bridal if possible as that is what pathway I am taking but as the theme this week was Pop Art it was quite impossible to put this into a bridal collection as no traditional bride would wear a Pop Art wedding dress, as it is heavily influenced by digital print.

A - This is a blue body suit with yellow digital print, and a yellow mesh gathered skirt.
B - A blue shift dress with a icon image of two hands and a ring.
C - White t-shirt dress with icon digital print words on and bright colours.
D - Paneled dress with very bright multi coloured clashing fabric, seperated by thick black lines.
E - Crop top and matching shorts in clashing colours with opposite coloured hems and digital print words.

Couture Bridal inspired by Roses!

A

This collection had to be based on Couture Roses this week. As I want to specify as much i can into bridal, I thought this theme would be perfect to do it.
I used the Roses for embellishment, embroidery, detailing, draping and the colour. I tried to step out of my comfort zones (just designing dresses I like) and these photos are the 6/20 of the ones I found the most different.

A - This dress was inspired by 1950's. Its a short lilac dress with lots of tulle. It has fabric roses embroidered on the bodice, a satin waistband and cascading roses into the skirt.
B - Off the shoulder dress, with a fitted bodice and a rose detailing on the left corner with gathers of the skirt falling away from it.
C - This is my favourite. A vintage feel to it. A boho chic inspired dress. Very thin straps with a slightly gathered skirt with fabric roses all around the hem. Completely backless.
D - This is a very prom dress inspired one. Very short pink dress, with a big tulle skirt. It has fabric roses on the bodice.
E - Another boho/garden wedding inspired one. Loose cami top to it, with thin straps. A fitted skirt going into a slight fishtail, and forest coloured (blue, green, pink, yellow, purple, orange) roses around each joining.
F - A high/low pink dress, with very exaggerated hem line. Fabric roses cover the inside of the skirt.

Tudor Rock Bridal Collection

A

This collection is based on the theme of mixing Classic Tudor with Heavy Rock. I found this weeks theme quite challenging and it took me all week to create 20 designs. As I am doing bridal it was hard to create elegant dresses with two of the most different topics.

A - This is one of my favourites. A massive tudor neck piece, attached to a very short rock inspired hemline. With heavy pleats and lots of netting underneath.
B - This is another of my favourites. A gold plated neck piece, attached to a very big, structured dress with a wide skirt, and a rocky thigh high split showing off studded thigh boots.
C - A very tudor dress, with a square neckline, wide sleeves, and red hems. A rocky hemline and red hems covered in studs.
D - A a-symmetrical dress with a very small jacket with connecting ruffled neck piece.
E - A fitted midi dress with square neckline, 3/4 sleeves, studded hems, and a neck ruffle used as a peplum.
F - A more simple dress, with a boned corset bodice and a neck ruffle as a peplum.

Swim Collection S/S 2013

This is a really old drawing and is really bad, but I've kept it on here to show my progress.
This illustration is based on the glamorous Ibiza beach party's  Hence the shoes. I took inspiration from Victoria's Secret Calender Girls segment with the massive floppy hat which I absolutely love!
I may do this drawing again to see how much my drawing techniques have changed.
